Brittany’s wealth in electronics and telecommunications offers the IMARS Master ‘students an acknowledged research environment. The welcome capacity for training periods is big. It offers the guarantee of varied and attractive training-periods and jobs, in firms and research laboratories.
This environment allows us to work on an educational mock-up giving the priority to team projects and work, and this without scarifying the credits of the teaching’s common core. The total time, on the 4 semesters, is 800 hours.
In addition to the training period’s projects, a 300 hours’ time is dedicated to the specialization corresponding to the two M2 courses that are : Architecture and Embedded Systems (AES) and Electronics and Communication Systems (ECS). Both are closely linked with the Excellency themes of European University of Brittany’s research units. The figure shows the proposed organization and gives precisions about the collective responsibility of the jointly approved training institutions.
In our laboratories, the recruitment of foreign students in master and theses is constantly growing and represents an important part of the pool. The new project of the IMARS master targets a high-level training, open to European and foreign students, who often are English speakers.
The goal is to attract the best students in our region in order to prepare a high-quality pool for the research laboratories. So as to reach this goal with the actual means of the partner training institutes, the organizational scheme is to relocate, at least partly, the first year of the master in the partner institutes abroad, while keeping control both of the recruitment and evaluation of the students.
